Looking for your next Netflix binge, but not sure what to choose? Here is a list of some of the best shows to binge watch on Netflix. TV shows are my favorite and I have included to quick synopsis so you can decide if you like them too. I tired not to give away any of the good stuff. Most of these shows include drama, romance and a bit of comedy. While most of them are “girly” shows, my boyfriend LOVED Prison Break, Breaking Bad and Lost. I’ll even catch him watching an episode or two of Scandal and Grey’s.
Gossip Girl
This one is on the top of my list of best shows to binge watch on Netflix for good reason. This was an easy six season binge watch. This series is about a group of teenagers from the Upper East Side making it through high school while a secret blogger reveals all of their secrets. Who is gossip girl? You’ll have to watch the series until the end.
Riverdale
High school friends struggle with the misfortune that is brought onto their small town of Riverdale. Solving mysteries and fighting crime, Betty, Archie, Veronica and Jughead work to save their town and the South Side. This series has two seasons out with hopefully more to come.
Pretty Little Liars
This murder mystery series is about high school best friends who will never forget the night their best friend was mysteriously murdered. The teens try to live a normal life, but are constantly being haunted/killed by an anonymous stalker called A. Who is A and what do they want? Make it through seven seasons to find out.
Orange Is The New Black
This highly talked about series is about Piper Chapman living in a minimum security, women’s prison. This series shows each characters backstory and the struggles they go through living in prison.. This Netflix Original is on its sixth season.
Prison Break
In this series, the main character Michael Skofield formulates an elaborate plan to help his break his brother out of prison before he is sentenced to death. His brother was wrongfully accused of murder and the only way to save him is to escape. The show has five seasons, but recently restarted with a twist and is available on Hulu.
Lost
A plane crashes on a deserted island and with many survivors. The longer the group inhabits the island, the more secrets they reveal. This show leaves a lot of questions unanswered. Why did they crash? Who else lives on the island? Why did they survive? Who else is living on the island? Why can’t they be found? This show keeps you constantly asking questions and dying to know more.
How I Met Your Mother
I followed this TV series for years growing up, but had to finish the series to know how he actually met their mother. The story line is about a group of friends trying their best at adulting in New York City. Careers struggles, relationships, children, dating and adult responsibilities, these guys take you through it all with a good laugh. This series has nine seasons.
Grey’s Anatomy
Shonda Rhimes doesn’t disappoint with this medicine based tv drama. The show has been a hit for years and still has a large following. I’ve been watching this show since day one and still can’t get enough. The show is full of interesting cases, romance and death/near death experiences. You can’t help but fall in love with the characters. This show is now on its 15th season.
Scandal
Another Shonda Rhimes favorite with the same drama and romance as Grey’s but takes place in the White House. Olivia Pope & Associates fight political crime and wear their “white hats” to take down the bad guys. This series has seven seasons.
Breaking Bad
This series starts out slow and I didn’t think I could get hooked on it. But I started this show on a flight to Florida and had nothing better to watch. I’m so glad that I stuck with it because it is definitely a top 3 in my book. The series is about a high school chemistry teacher who is diagnosed with cancer. In order to make ends meet and secure his family’s future, he decides to start cooking meth.
These shows aren’t necessarily in any type of order. Hope you find at least a couple you can add to your list of best shows to binge watch on Netflix.
